Nathan Bedford Forrest Great Escape Living History Event
This event will feature mid-nineteenth
century civilian life and military demonstrations from the
1862 Civil War era. Watch history unfold as General Forrest
employs tactics such as "Charge 'em both ways"
as demonstrated by military living history interpreters.
Observe firsthand the hardships of civilians in war torn
West Tennessee. Live demonstrations will be scheduled throughout
the weekend which will offer fun entertainment and education
for the whole family. So come take a step back in time and
experience all the sights and sounds of a working home place,
military camps, and other educational exhibits at the first
annual Nathan Bedford Forrest Great Escape.
